The Old Town riverside market wrapped its 2026 season on Tuesday, October 13, after a long run of coastal produce, seafood, flowers, and hot food along the bayfront. It returns next spring, and I will share the opening date here when it is posted.
Saturday, October 31, 4 p.m. | Old Town Florence, Bay Street
The shops of Old Town open their doors for a safe, family-friendly Halloween crawl along the bayfront. Costumed kids, candy buckets, and the historic storefronts all lit up for the season.
Wednesday, October 28, 6 p.m.; maze nights October 28 to 31 | Florence Events Center
The Events Center turns spooky for a family-friendly haunted maze and story nights as Halloween approaches. A great date night or big-kid outing, with tickets sold at the door.
Friday to Sunday, October 16 to 18, 10 a.m. | Florence Events Center
The Events Center goes to the dogs for a weekend of dog shows and companion events, with vendors and plenty of friendly faces in the aisles. Bring the family dog to watch, or enter one of the events.
October 24 to 25 | Florence beaches, locations posted each weekend

The city's seasonal yard-debris pickup wraps its fall collection on October 17. A small but genuinely useful date for residents clearing leaves and garden beds before the rains settle in.
